Mike O’Malley

With nearly 20 years in high-visibility marketing roles, Mike O’Malley is well-known for his unique ability to combine creativity, analysis and attention to detail. As Optanix’s CMO, he is responsible for properly positioning our offerings in the market and generating demand for those offerings.

Before joining Optanix, Mike served as vice president of marketing at 128 Technology and built their marketing organization from the ground up. While there, he also established best-in-class marketing practices that differentiated 128 Technology as a “Company to Watch” among customers, partners and influencers.

Throughout his career, Mike has played key roles as a category creator and brand builder for companies experiencing whirlwind growth or change. At VCE, Acme Packet and CA Technologies, he served as a change agent, successfully revamping or expanding multiple marketing functions.

Mike also served in multiple marketing leadership roles at VMware during a time of rapid, dynamic growth for the company, including leading communications during the company’s highly successful IPO. He joined VMware from EMC, where he held multiple marketing roles with a front row seat to some of the biggest tech developments of the 2000s.
